Previously, we synthesized indolocarbazole-based foldamers capable of folding into a helical conformation in water. In this case, that can be dissolved in basic water, we substituted pyridinium for benzoate as terminal groups. So, we predict not only to dissolve in neutral water, but also to bind anions with strong affinities by pyridinium part. Details will be described in this presentation.
