Alzheimer's Disease(AD) is the most common neurodegenerative dementia with an average death prognosis of 9 years. Up to date, there is no definitive diagnosis of AD other than postmortem identification of senile plaques and neurofibrillary tangles in the brain. Thus, an early diagnosis of AD would lead to slow down and prevent the progress of the disease with proper medication. Herein, we report a new method for the early detection of AD with human blood plasma and peptide-modified nanoparticles(PNPs). 1) based on recent papers showing there is the difference of blood plasma components between normal person and AD patient, we hypothesized, between the two, there would be a discrepancy of an aggregation inhibitor, in plasma, prohibiting amyloid-beta plaques. 2) we made the PNPs which has a response to aggregation inhibitor and studied the interaction of PNPs with human blood plasma samples. Then, quantitative analysis by UV-vis spectrophotometer as well as qualitative analysis by naked-eye was performed.
