Generally, we have produced PLGA particle by using dichloromethane as organic solvent. The purpose of this study was manufactured smaller size PLGA particles. So, effect of organic solvents on the mean particle size of PLGA particles has been studied.PLGA particles was prepared by single emulsion-evaporation method. curcumin was chosen as a model drug.The morphology of the PLGA particles was confirmed using field-emission scanning electron microscope(FE-SEM), and releas profiles was analyzed by High-perfomance-liquid-chromatography (HPLC). Nanoparticles using dichloromethane-ethyl acetate mixture as organic solvent was faster release than using only dichloromethane.Different solvent -dichloromethane mixture also was faster release. Drug content was different according to organic mixture.
