In this report a highly selective and sensitive monohydrogen phosphate membrane sensor based on a molybdenum bis(2-hydroxyanil) acetylactonate complex ionophoere is presented. We synthesized bis(2-hydroxyanil)acetylacetone Schiff base with 2-aminophenol and acetylacetone, and also synthesized bis(acetylacetonato)dioxomolybdenum(VI) (MoO2(acac)2). Finally we synthesized the complex ionophore with the Schiff base and MoO2(acac)2. We formed membranes by dipping the carbon paste and metal substrates in the mixture of polyvinyl chloride, synthesized ionophore, solvent mediator benzyl acetate, and cetyltrimethylammonium chloride in THF. The potential was measured with respect to the Ag/AgCl reference electrode using LabView. This electrode showed a wide dynamic range, a low detection limit, and low selectivity coefficients of various interfering anions, such as bromide, chloride, sulfate, nitrate, nitrite ions. The working pH range was higher than 8.2.
