The simulative biomineralization experiments were carried out by hydrothermal synthesis method. Polyacrylate sodium was used as organic matrix in that mineralization system. The purpose was to study the effects of polymer electrolyte on modulating the mineralization behavior of Fe(OH)3 gel and its mechanism. The mineralization product were characterization by SEM、XRD、FT-IR method. Moreover, molecular dynamics simulation was used to further investigate the process in order to understand the effection of the polymers on controlling the crystal growth. The results show that polyacrylate sodium could control the crystal structure, morphology, properties by selecting the mechanism of nucleation and transformation. There is the strong complexing action between Fe3+ iron and the -COO- groups of polyacrylate sodium and thus forms a large scale of local supersaturation microenvironment which increased the nucleation driving force of the α-Fe2O3 crystal. Owing to the existence of the structure matching relation between polyacrylate sodium and α-Fe2O3 surface, the Fe(OH)3 gel transformed the α-Fe2O3 and inhibited the nucleation of α-FeOOH.
