Titanium has been used as itself or alloys with other elements to produce strong lightweight materials. In this study we developed b -titanium which has mechanical properties with low Young’s Modulus and high elongation as similar as human’s bone. Nb was used for an additive to Ti in order to achieve these goals. This study revealed that the best result was produced at the b-Ti with 15% Nb. The nanostructure of the alloys was investigated by atomic force microscopy (AFM). The AFM study revealed that its mechanical properties were affected by its geometric structure which was a function of the amount of Nb in the alloy. The amount of Nb was measured by electron probe microanalysis. Also X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy was carried out the bonding nature of the alloy.
