The catalytic insertion of carbenoids into hereoatom-hydrogen bonds is a significant synthetic method, it has been widely used in the construction of carbon?heteroatom bonds in the synthesis of natural products and pharmaceutics. However, the asymmetric catalytic carbenoid insertion into heteroatom?hydrogen bonds remains a challenge. This presentation will discuss the asymmetric carbenoid insertions into the heteroatom?hydrogen bonds such as N?H, O?H, and Si?H bonds catalyzed by copper or iron complexes of chiral spiro bisoxazolins in high enantioselectivities.
