In this study, chemically synthesized poly(L-lactic acid) grafted graphene oxide (GO-g-PLLA)was used as electrocatalysts and their electrochemical properties were systematically characterized. Methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) was used to create the anchor sites on GO. The synthesized GO-g-PLLA was characterized by the FT-IR and 1H-NMR spectroscopy methods. Again the composition and melt crystallization behavior was investigated by the TGA and DSC. In the DSC results, melting point of PLLA was appeared two peaks, such as melting point peak form is a typical characterization of the PLLA isomer. The surface morphologies of GO-g-PLLA were evaluated using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The possibilities of employing graphenes for the electrochemical detection of important neurotransmitter, serotonin, were studied. Electrocatalytic activities were verified from cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV).
