Responsive polymer gel materials can be adapt to soft mechatronic and robotic devices. Here, we report on simple and fast method for making mechano-responsive polyethylene gel. By manipulating the heating temperature to dissolve polyethylene, the viscosity of the polyethylene gel can be diverse, and even can have mechano responsive property. we have examined recovering time of viscosity by fluorescence rotor, which increases its emission intensity as the viscosity of environment rises. we use scanning electron microsope to research structure of the gel by freeze drying of the polyethylene gel. we use the o-xylene, decalin, toluene, cyclohexane, and benzene as solvent of the gel. The heating temperature range was vary along the solvent. the cyclohexane and toluene have small range to mechano-responsive, while the benzene and o-xylene have relatively wide range. The aggregates of the polyethylene gelator become bigger as the heating temperature increases, and the gels become turbid.
