The Fe-TiO2 photocatalyst was manufactured by temperature regulated chemical vapour deposition method and subsequent annealing at 750 oC. Photocatalytic decomposition of acetaldehyde and toluene was studied separately over Fe-TiO2 under three different relative humid (RH) conditions (0, 30 and 60%) by using visible light irradiation. Both partial and total oxidation contributed to photocatalytic removal of acetaldehyde and toluene. Increase in humidity decreased the acetaldehyde or toluene removal due to their competitive adsorption with water molecules. However, high humidity (60% RH) promised enhanced total oxidation of acetaldehyde while in case of toluene medium humidity (30% RH) ensured dominant total oxidation. Operando DRIFTS studies showed different photocatalysis removal paths were followed under different humid conditions for both acetaldehyde and toluene.
