The various amount of FeOx deposited on rutile structured-TiO2 were prepared by temperature regulated chemical vapor deposition (TR-CVD) method and subsequent annealing at different temperatures, which were used for photocatalytic decomposition of acetaldehyde under visible light. As-received TiO2 which showed very low photocatalytic activity for decomposition of acetaldehyde under visible light showed huge activity after loading small amount of Fe. While optimal annealing temperature is quite important for highest photocatalytic activity of FeOx/TiO2 due to strong metal support interaction effect. In addition, FeOx/TiO2 was tested for NOx removal experiment under visible light which followed as ISO 221971-1 and showed good photocatalytic activity. Furthermore, FeOx/TiO2 mixed with surface hardening agent was measured for photocatalytic decomposition of acetaldehyde and NOx under visible light. A strategy towards FeOx/TiO2 mixed with surface hardening agent for real air purification application is also discussed.
