This research aims to investigate human platelet concentration using serotonin oxidation using single-entity electrochemistry (SEE). These experiments can be carried out by placing the ultramicroelectrode (UME) in a solution containing platelets to be detected by the current-time (i-t) curve measurement. Studies on biomolecule detection using SEE method can be useful for measuring the number of platelets through oxidation of serotonin, based on the fact that serotonin in the blood is stored and transported in platelet granules. Observing changes in current caused by the oxidation of serotonin when platelets selectively collide with UME can medically provide useful information about platelet or serotonin-related diseases. This study is expected to not only help diagnose various platelet/serotonin-related diseases at an early stage but also help to save a person's healthy life and medical costs.
