In this study, we synthesized mesoporous hollow silica from core-shell structured polystyrene core with mesoporous silica shell. Polystyrene and CTACl in the synthesized core-shell form were removed using THF and HCl without Thermal Processes. The surfactant was removed using HCl, and pores were formed in the place where the surfactant was removed. THF breaks down polystyrene into monomeric or oligomeric forms and escapes through the pores. The size and thickness of the shells of mesoporous hollow silica synthesized by thermal process and non-thermal process did not show much difference. The synthesized products were analyzed various method such as transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) analysis, and X-ray diffraction (XRD).
