Amine-modified adsorbents have been of interest due to their excellent performance for carbon dioxide (CO2) capture. In this work, we have prepared zeolite-templated carbons (ZTCs) with amine modification using polyethylenimine (PEI) for CO2 capture. The ZTCs were synthesized at different temperatures to investigate the characteristics of the surface. PEI-functionalized ZTCs (P-ZTCs) were prepared by the wet impregnation method. The surface properties of the P-ZTCs characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The specific surface area and pore size distribution were calculated by N2 / 77 K adsorption isotherms using the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) equation and non-local density functional theory (NLDFT). As a result, P-ZTCs lead to improvement of CO2 absorption behavior
