Photocatalytic degradation of water with UV-irradiated TiO2 is explicated by intensive oxidation potential of its photo-generated valence band holes and OH radicals. Reactive oxgen species (ROS) caused by interfacial charge transfer is key intermediates of TiO2 photocatalysis. Although TiO2 surface treatment by inorganic anion has been studied to investigate how the modification in its surface functional groups affects the photocatalytic degradation, the mechanistic pathway of reaction is complicated and not clearly understood because TiO2 is mixture of two crystal phases with different selectivity for OH radicals, which called as anatase and rutile. Herein, we proceeded photocatalytic degradation reaction of 4-chlorophenol, formate ,dichloroacetate and acetealdehyde in each anatase and rutile with fluoride. it is conducted under water condition (suspension) in pH3 and gas phase environment with VOCs analysis system. Photocatalytic degradation efficiency of F-Anatase and F-Rutile on individual pollutants has a different aspect according to each main intermediate.
