The main component of natural lacquer, urushiol, makes a urushi network through covalent and coordination bonds with Fe3+ ions. This reaction forms urushi organogel in ethanol solvent, and phase separation occurs at a specific ratio. In this study, the synthesis conditions of urushi organogel without phase separation according to the ratio of urushiol and Fe3+ ions in ethanol and the properties of the synthesized gel were revealed. The stress and mechanical strength of the gel were measured by Rheometer and Tensile strength test, respectively. The shape and size of the pores were confirmed by SEM, and the porosity was analyzed with a Porosimeter to figure out the characteristics as a porous material.
