Hyperhomocysteinemia is a medical condition characterized by an abnormally high level (>15 µmol/L) of homocysteine in the blood, causing complications such as heart attack and arteriosclerosis. Various methods such as high-performance chromatography, gas chromatography, electrophoresis, and electrochemical biosensors have been studied to detect homocysteine. but most of them have a disadvantage in that the operating cost of the device is high and the analysis time is relatively long. In this study, we report a method of electrochemical determination of homocysteine ​​through cascade metabolic reactions of several enzymes. Currently, d-Methionine, an intermediate product of hydrogen peroxide and Cascade reaction, was detected in the range of 15 µmol / L to 200 µmol / L, and linearity exceeding R2 = 0.97 was confirmed.
