We have developed a Ni-catalyzed stereospecific substitution process of propargylic tertiary substrates. The ligand choice was critical for the efficiency and selectivity of the process where only bidentate P^N ligand promoted the process for the construction of new C–C bond. The use of leaving group coordinating to Ni-complex was also critical for the reactivity and selectivity of the process.
