Photocatalysts with a band gap to visible light responsive materials has been attracting an attention to improve their efficiency. Among them, MTiO3 (M = Co, Ni, Co etc) materials are attracted widely in the photocatalytic applications due to their optical properties and visible light responsive material. Moreover, research of crystal facet of particles have been attracted substantial attention because their physiochemical characterization is induced by each facet. The induced physiochemical characterization from regular atom arrangement on the surface have a strong impact on the surface reactive reaction. Here, we have demonstrated nickel titanate of hexagonal type morphology, which is synthesized by solvothermal method. Based on solution based approach, morphology of particles was controlled by sodium hydroxide as reducing agent and distilled water concentration. Thus, we obtained the different size of microstructure with hexagonal shape and synthesized plate type particles by controlling the length of the sides of the particles. The morphological and optical properties of synthesized powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning & transmission electron microscopy, energy-dispersive spectrum and uv-visible spectroscopy.
