Poly(o-anisidine)-poly(ethylene terepthalate) composite was prepared by chemical oxidative polymerization and made as film by solution casting. The conductivity of the composite film was about 15.6 ㏀-1 cm-1 with 3.5 % wt of POA. Evidences were obtained for the existence of hydrogen bonding interactions between the groups in PET and POA by Fourier Transform infra-red (FTIR) and UV-Visible spectroscopy. X-ray diffraction analysis shows that the amorphous characteristics of PET is affected by the presence of POA in the composite. UV-visible spectral data reveal the reversible cross-linking in the composite film upon doping and dedoping. Atomic Force Microscopy supports the formation of genuine composite between POA and PET.
