Molten Carbonate Fuel Cell (MCFC) is one of attractive power generation systems because of the high efficiency and unparalleled environmental performance. Durability of cathode materials in molten carbonate is one of the major technical obstacles to the commercialization of the MCFC. In this study, we have tried to prepare a new candidate material of Co and Ce-coated Ni powders by polymeric precursor based on the Pechini method. The gel precursor was calcined at 350oC for 3h to obtain Co3O4 and CeO2 coated Ni powders. The new cathode was made from Co/Ce-coated Ni powders by general tape casting method. XRD, SEM were employed for characterization of the new cathode materials. The Co3O4 and CeO2 were homogeneously covered on the surface of the Ni powders. Homogeneous coating of Co3O4 and CeO2 were expected to reduce solubility of NiO cathode in (Li0.62K0.38)2CO3 eutectic a
