A tetraazamacroycle (cyclam) was supported onto the SBA-15 mesoporous materials. Catalytic oxidation of cyclohexene was tested and compared with simple Co[cyclam] homogeneous catalysts using aqueous hydrogen peroxide as a green oxidant. Various oxidized products were analyzed by Gc and identified by GS-MS. The catalytic oxidation of cyclohexene by heterogenized Co[cyclam] complex catalyst seem to follow free radical mechanism to selectively give cyclohex-2-en-1-ol and cyclohex-2-en-1-one as major products and cyclohexene oxide as minor product mainly due to the redox cycle of Co species inside the cavity of cyclam macrocycle.
