Recently, organic thin film transistor (TFT) has attracted great interests due to many advantages such as mechanical flexibility, low processing temperature and inexpensive fabrication cost. Organic TFT, therefore, is expected to offer several applications as driving devices of display, smart card and sensor array. Conducting polymers possess excellent properties such as high electrical conductivity, mechanical flexibility and high transparency, they have been considered as the promising material for organic TFT electrodes. In this study, we report a facile and reproducible patterning method for thin film of conducting polymers, by using shadow mask and PDMS membrane. We here present one example using poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (called as PEDOT), The scanning electron micrograph, surface profiler and current-voltage measurements present formation of PEDOT thin film patterns on the solid substrates and these materials demonstrate electrical characteristics for organic TFT devices.
