In this study, two different types of arginic acid sodium salts were investigated by using an electron magnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy. To this end, a natural arginic acid sodium salt was firstly depolymerized by an alginate lyase (AlyVI) and then centrifuged. Interestingly, the depolymerized arginic acid was found to be largely separated into two groups: one was aggregated to be precipitation, the other was not. When each sample was carefully inspected by EPR technuque, the former arginic acid precipitated revealed much strong intensity than the latter one. In order to understand such difference, some transition metal-ion, especially, iron coordinated arginic acid complexes were considered and discussed.
