Interest in organic semiconductors has increased in recent years due to potential applications in optoelectronic devices such as OFET, and OPV. p-type semiconductors have served to raise the importance of molecular close contacts and π-stacking to the fabrication of efficient devices: materials that yield ordered, π-stacked arrays in the solid state lead to devices with significantly higher charge mobilities. Star-shaped molecules are one of the most prominent organic semiconducting materials and have been widely studied both as compounds of interest in electronic devices. For understanding the potential of anthracene derivative, they have been employed as an active layer in organic FET device. Recently, we synthesized new star-shaped anthracene derivatives. They have good solubility and crystallinity. They display a p-type semiconducting behavior and their electrical properties are investigated in detail
