Abstract |
Mono or dinuclear Pd(II) halogen complexes containing various aryl derivatives were prepared from oxidative addition of dihaloaryl derivatives to a Pd(0) complex. For example, oxidative additions of various dihaloaryl derivatives to [Pd(CH2=CHPh)(PR3)2], which could be generated in situ from trans-[PdEt2(PR3)2] (PR3 = PMe3, PEt3) and styrene, gave the mono or dinuclear Pd(II) complexes containing haloaryl derivatives depending on the chemical equivalents. Isolated complexes were characterized from spectroscopic and analytical methods. Experimental details will be presented. |
