Abstract Recently, in the field of energy storage system, the sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) have highly been attracted research interests in the both scientific and industrial fields because of natural abundance and cost-effective property of sodium. In this study, the new hollow nanostructures between titanate and graphene oxide were successfully synthesized via chemical exfoliation and layer-by-layer self-restacking technique, and then, the product was used as an anodic material of SIBs. The spherical hollow structures were observed in the electron microscopy analysis such as SEM and TEM. According to energy dispersive spectroscopy mapping, the carbon and titanium atoms were homogeneously distributed in samples. The half-cell test shows that the synthesized product could be used as a anodic materials for SIBs with enhanced performance.
