Abstract |
We have synthesized new series of Co(II) and Zn(II) complexes with ligands Ln (Ln = LA – LC) where LA = N,N-bis((1H-pyrazol-1-yl)methyl)benzenamine), LB = N,N-bis((1H-pyrazol-1-yl)methyl)-3,5-dimethylbenzenamine), LC = N,N-bis((1H-pyrazol-1-yl)methyl)-2,6-diisopropylbenzenamine). All complexes were characterized by IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, elemental analyzer, and X-ray single crystal diffraction. Molecular structures of Co(II) and Zn(II) both complexes showed distorted tetrahedral geometry around the corresponding metal center. The catalytic properties of these complexes toward the polymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA) in the presence of MMAO were also investigated at 60 oC. |
