| Abstract |
We have synthesized and characterized a series of new Cd(II) complexes, namely [LnCdBr2] with ligands [Ln] (Ln = LA – LC ), where LA = 4-methoxy-N-((pyridin-2-yl)methylene)benzenamine, LB = 4-methoxy-N-((pyridin-2-yl)methyl)benzenamine, LC = 4-methoxy-N-methyl-N-((pyridin-2-yl)methyl)benzenamine. Molecular structure of [(LB)2CdBr2] was 6-coordinate octahedral geometry around cadmium metal center. The catalytic properties of Cd(II) complexes toward the polymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA) in the presence of MMAO were investigated at 60 oC. |
