Abstract |
A simple, rapid, and efficient flame synthesis method was developed cathode materials for Li-ion batteries. Therefore, the combustion of the metal nitrate precursors with flame was used to complete synthesis of LiNi0.95-xCoxTi0.05O2 . The complete procedure to achieve the LiNi0.95-xCoxTi0.05O2 precursor powder was taken under 1 hr. X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns confirm the formation of single phase of the LiNi0.95-xCoxTi0.05O2 at 800℃ for 12hr. SEM and TEM analyses show the presence of ultrafine nature of the particles. The fabricated materials show the discharge specific capacity of 159 mAh g-1 and 137 mAh g-1 at 0.1 C-rate for the initial cycle for the LiNi0.95-xCoxTi0.05O2 of x = 0.25 and 0.30, respectively. The results indicate that LiNi0.95-xCoxTi0.05O2 synthesized with environmental friendly route shows a promising electrochemical activity. |
