Abstract Information about blood tests is very necessary for diagnosing and detecting blood disorders. Here, we have developed the electrochemical detection of red blood cells (RBCs) using single particle collision events. The staircase current decrease was caused by collision, and gave quantitative information about the size, and concentration of RBCs. The signals obtained by chronoamperometry (CA) measurement during a collision of RBCs with ultramicroelectrode (UME) at the different of RBCs concentration showed high sensitivity and will be essential in the future.
