Subject Introduction of SOLID-STATE NMR Spectroscopy for Chemicals and Polymer Materials
Authors YONGAE KIM
Department of Chemistry, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Korea
Abstract Conventional analytical methods like XRD and IR spectroscopy have lots of limitations to study the structure, conformation and morphology for solid-state powdered samples. Therefore, demands for the solid-state NMR spectroscopy become larger and larger for a variety of solid-state samples. Here, we will discuss about the basic theory and solid-state NMR characterization of nano- and bio- materials like polymers, inorganic materials, battery related materials, pharmaceutical drugs, antimicrobial peptides, disease related membrane proteins etc. And home-built solid-state NMR probe for in-situ measurements also will be discussed.
