Abstract Tar pigment in azo dyes, widely used in the printing and textile industries, are harmful organic substances that cause human health problems. Recently, rapid removal and decomposition techniques of organic pollutants are required and studied. The photocatalysts, Fe3O4@TiO2, and Fe3O4@TiO2-M(M=Ag,Au), used in this experiment were confirmed to be synthesized through field emission-scanning electron microscope(FE-SEM), X-ray diffractometer(XRD), fourier transform infrared spectroscope(FT-IR) before photocatalytic experiments. In photodegradation experiments, the photocatalytic activity of the organic dyes Rh.B, 2,4,6-TCP and MP was gradually improved in the order of Fe3O4, Fe3O4@TiO2, Fe3O4@TiO2-Ag and Fe3O4@TiO2-Au. Therefore, in this experiment it was confirmed that the catalytic effect is improved through visible light by accumulating TiO2 and the noble metals on surface of the Fe3O4 core. Finally, the reuse analysis was performed five times for commercial purposes. It has confirmed that the photocatalytic efficiency did not reduce after 5 times of reuse.
