Abstract |
Cholinesterase inhibitors are on market to treat Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Development of novel Alzheimer's drugs based on the cholinergic theory are still one of the best targets for AD. We have been researching to find out new candidate compounds as cholinesterase inhibitors. In this study, a series of tryptamine derivatives were synthesized and their in vitro cholinesterase [acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butyrylcholinesterase (BuChE)] inhibitory activities were evaluated. |
