Abstract |
We have synthesized new series of 5-coordinate cobalt(II), cadmium(II) and copper(II) complexes by the reaction of [CoCl2•6H2O], [CdBr2•4H2O] and [CuCl2•2H2O] with N,N’,X-tridentate ligand (E)-2-morpholino-N-((pyridin-2-yl)methylene)ethanamine (Lmpme), respectively. Molecular structures of these complexes were characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The catalytic properties of these complexes toward the polymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA) in the presence of modified methylaluminoxane (MMAO) were investigated and compared to the reference metal starting materials. |
