| Abstract |
Reported herein is an improved procedure for the diastereo- and enantioselective copper-catalyzed 1,2-addition of gem-diborylalkanes to N-protected acyclic aldimines to afford enantioenriched beta-aminoboronate esters. The reaction indicate that the diastereoselectivity is quite sensitive to the protection group and the installation of N,N-dimethyl sulfamoyl group to imine give the desired beta-aminoboronate esters with good to excellent diastereo- and enantioselectivity |
