Abstract |
A copper-catalyzed three-component coupling reaction of internal alkynes with silylated bromoalkynes and diboron has been developed to provide stereochemically well-defined tetrasubstituted enynylboronates. In the presence of NHC–copper precatalyst, various internal alkynes furnished fully-substituted borylenynes in good yield and with high levels of regio- and stereoselectivity. Symmetrical and non-symmetrical internal alkynes with aryl-, heteroaryl- and alkyl substituents were well-tolerated. The enynylboron products could be further utilized in transforming the C‒B bond into various C‒C bonds by coupling reactions. |
