Abstract |
The carbon black have been widely utilized as a support for electrocatalytic reaction. Recently, however, carbon oxidation during the OER has been reported to inhibit OER activity, while catalysts preserve its activity. Therefore, alternative support materials is necessary to bring out the whole performance of the catalysts. The g-C3N4 is a kind of two-dimensional material, which possesses a graphite-like structure with high stability in both acidic and alkaline condition. Furthermore, it can be mass synthesized and has high electrical conductivity. These advantages of the g-C3N4 have a great potential for the usage in support material for electrocatalytic reaction to replace carbon black. Herein, we synthesized Ir nanoparticles supported on three kinds of carbon nitrides, which have different crystallinity. The crystallinity is predicted to strongly influence the resistance to electrochemical oxidation of carbon. |
