Abstract |
Supramolecular compounds constructed from nickel(II) azamacrocyclic compound have been attracted much interest in the development of new functional materials owing to their potential applications in molecular sensing, adsorbents for carbon dioxide and metalloenzymes. To obtain stable 1-D nickel(II) azamacrocyclic compound, we prepared self-assembly of nickel(II) azamacrocyclic complex, containing butyl pendant groups, with 2,7-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid (2,7-NDC) as organic linker. The 2,7-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid (2,7-NDC) can easily bind or interact with transition metal ions as various coordination modes because 2,7-NDC can be fully or partially deprotonated and act as supramolecular interaction donors or acceptors as hydrogen bonding and π-π interaction.
Here, we will present the detailed preparation of the [Ni(C16H38N6)(2,7-NDC)] compound, interestion crystal structures as well as gas adsorption.
