Abstract |
In recent years, the development of multicomponent reactions for the synthesis of polyheterocycles under metal or catalyst free has become an important area in the field of medicinal and synthetic organic chemistry. With this basic concept, we have successfully developed a methodology for the synthesis of polycyclic fused pyrrolizidines derivatives via metal free multicomponent decarboxylative [3+2] cycloaddition pathway. These unique heterocycles are may found to be exhibits various biological activities. In this presentation, we will discuss about few interesting points regarding the regioselectivity of the reaction, the mechanistic point of the reaction, the high functional group tolerance and the substrate scope and synthetic utilities. |
