Abstract |
Heterocycles including pyridine are one of the most widely studied classes. Pyridine derivatives are found in biologically active natural products and particularly important in the pharmaceutical and agrochemical fields. Due to their usefulness in the aforementioned areas, several synthetic methods employing transition metal catalysis or organocatalysis have been developed. However, efficient synthetic methods are still necessary for the preparation of disubstituted pyridines. Herein, we report that the chemoselective Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reactions for the synthesis of unsymmetrical disubstituted pyridines via a one-pot reaction employing two different boronic acids. |
