Abstract |
Rhodamine is excellent photophysical performances, such as long wavelength absorption and fluorescence emission located in the visible region, making it a nice platform for fluorescent molecular sensor design.
In recent years, selective optical receptors for the detection of environmentally and biologically important metal cations have received extensive attention for designing and development of colorimetric and fluorimetric chemosensors.
We report here a rhodamine-based colorimetric sensing probe for the selective detection of metal cation.
Rhodamine-Quinoline dyad has been prepared and characterized by IR, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR spectra. Its absorption and fluorescence spectroscopic properties have been investigated. |
