Abstract |
Spiropyran is the most widely studied photoswitchable compound, Spiropyran undergoes reversible structural transformation between a colourless SP form and a coloured MC form upon light, heat, or chemical stimulus, which has been shown to exhibit sensitive colour changes due to the absorption spectral changes. A new spiropyran derivative containing picoline moiety was designed and synthesized, Photochromic behavior of spiropyran-picoline has been investigated by ultraviolet-visible absorption and fluorescence spectroscopic measurements. |
