Abstract |
TiO2/Au nanoparticles have various applications such as photocatalysis, solar energy conversion, and chemical and biological sensing. Among various particle fabrication methods, a pulsed laser irradiation in liquid (PLIL) method is currently attracting great interest due to its simplicity and versatility. In this study, TiO2/Au nanoparticles via PLIL were synthesized and their morphological and optical properties were characterized by X-ray diffraction, field emission-scanning electronic microscope, energy dispersive spectrometer, high resolution-transmission electron microscope, and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Additionally, photocatalytic degradation of organic dye compounds under visible light irradiation for the other TiO2/M (M= Pt, Pd, and Ag) nanoparticles will be characterized and discussed. |
