| Abstract |
1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane (cyclen) is a macrocycle and the aza analogue of the crown ether 12-crown-4. Cyclen-based macrocyclic ligands have an essential role in the development of contrast agent for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). In this study, we discovered a new synthetic route for preparation of cyclen. |
