Abstract |
The development of catalysts with low over-potential and high efficiency is the most important requirement to realize spontaneous water splitting.have successfully synthesized amorphous layer of Fe3O4 onto CoMoOx by reducing FeOOH/CoMoO4 and applied as catalysts for oxygen evolution reaction (OER). the Fe3O4/CoMoOx catalysts exhibit enhanced activity for the OER compared to pristine CoMoOx. The best catalyst (CoMoOx/Fe3O4-550℃) achieved a low overpotential (~292 mV at current density of 10 mA cm-2) and exhibited low Tafel slope of 42 mV/dec. compared to 343 mV overpotential and 81 mV/dec. Tafel slope for CoMoOx. In addition, potential (1.542 V vs. RHE) of catalysts were maintained for 10 hours under constant current density of 10 mAcm-2, reflecting long-term stability of catalysts. |
