Abstract |
Development of chemosensor for recognizing metal cations is important, because heavy metal can adversely affect the human immune system and environmental pollution. Chemosensors that recognize metal cation were developed in this project. To effectively perceive a metal cation, tosyl functional group were introduced as a binding site. Tosyl group can be a binding subunit having great affinity with metal cation. Benzothiazole was added as a binding and signaling subunit. The chemosensor is capable of estimating Cu(Ⅱ) with a wide concentration range without the interference from other metal ions. |
