Abstract |
The Ru(NH₃)6 mediator has been used for transfer the electron in electrochemical glucose sensor. However, the Ru(NH₃)6 mediator is not reacting with glucose dehydrogenase (GDH). In this study, we synthesized new Ru(dia-py)₂Cl₂ mediator for the reaction with GDH. This is a second-generation sensor using a mediator that measures the amount of hydrogen peroxide in the first-generation sensor and improves the measurement error due to the oxygen concentration in the body to help redox. In addition, the mediator mediates the electron transfer from the active site of the enzyme and the electrode, and has high selectivity and sensitivity, which helps to detect glucose. Ru(dia-py)₂Cl₂ was synthesized by using RuCl₃ and 4,4'-Diamino-2,2'-bipyridine. The Cyclic Voltammetry (CV) was used as an electrochemical method to check for their electrochemical properties. It was found that the combined mediators and GDH are physically fixed to the electrodes to enable concentration analysis using an electrochemical method of glucose. The modified electrodes were physically immobilized on the electrode, and confirmed that glucose concentration were analyzed by CV. |
