Abstract |
α-Synuclein (αSyn) protein undergoes structural changes to form amyloid fibrils in patients of Parkinson's disease. In our previous study, we examined the process of amyloid fibril formation of αSyn in vitro in the presence of His-tagged ERLBD302-552. In this study, with ERLBD purified we examined the αSyn amyloid formation process through ThT assay in the presence of ligands. We also synthesized a hybrid ligand containing a photosensitizer (2-phenylquinoline) in three steps. Finally, the photo-degaradation of ERLBD by the hybrid ligand was observed. |
