Abstract |
The thermoplastic elastomer having a hard segment and a soft segment is a polymer having both of a thermoplastic property that can be reformed upon heating and an elastic property of an elastomer that is a rubber-like polymer.
Recently, it has been used in industrial fields for many purposes such as packaging containers, automobile interior materials, and elastic fibers, and the demand for it has been greatly increased because it is easy to recycle.
In this study, we propose a thermoplastic polyether ester elastomer (TPEE) which can improve the environmental friendliness by incorporating the Isosorbide derivatives from biomass in the soft segment and
can easily control the melting point while maintaining the elastic and physical properties of the thermoplastic elastomer.
